If you haven’t been by to experience the transformation of Queens University’s former brutalist Dana Auditorium (which we confess to have a soft spot for) into the brilliant, new Sarah Belk Gambrell Center for the Arts & Civic Engagement, make any excuse to get there. ⁣

This refurbished theater is just one of the treats in store for you. This building is an inspiring example of radical renovation of an existing building in lieu of 100% demolition.⁣

The creative energy hits you the second you’re inside with galleries to the left and right of you and a balcony where students are studying, creating and (often) practicing music.⁣
⁣

LaCa Projects has unveiled a new exhibition - “Intimismos” - featuring the works of two brilliant Argentinian artists, Franco Fasoli and Octavio Garabello. This is a welcoming, intimidate installation. The works are intricate in their composition and beg you to come up close to see how they are made.
